Samhain blessings Beauty.

What is the nature of a witch? Being a witch is not something I can claim personally, however I know and befriend many witches. I feel a kinship with them that is FULL and rich and wondrous. I do believe in MAGIC, (and MAGICK), and TRANSFORMATION. But here is the thing... my practices of intention, working with energies like plants, the planets, and the archetypes associated to them are instinctual to me. They feel NATURAL, as if born out existence and are waiting for us all to find that spark of creativity and harmonious living they do inspire in my own daily life. And as I write these words, I too find myself asking the question, "Are you a witch?" Is that not what most would believe a witch to be?

People have often asked me throughout the last few decades of my life, "Are you a witch?" I have always replied, "Well what do you believe a witch to be?" I love that I can say, that I have never had someone seriously respond with something dark or that frightened me. Most people respond with glowing remarks about what they believe a witch to be.

Why am I sharing this... well, you may have found yourself wondering, as my own family has before, "Are you a witch?" I believe I have already hit upon why people find me to be a witch in the first line of this text... "What is the Nature of a Witch?"

It is Natural to be seen as a Witch when I do what I do?
A Witch finds Nature to be full of inspiration and discovery, as do I. I do work in symbiosis with Nature. Like the alchemists of lore, I also accept scientific inquiry and advanced chemistry as a massive piece of the puzzle. As a Formulator and Intuitive Creator, I speak with the plants in a way that some may consider "woo" or "witchy" by simply listening to what they have to say.

While you wonder about the "woo" in me, I may also wonder of the "woo" in you. You see, we attract one another. "US-WITCHY" people.

Whether or not you have ever considered asking the question of me... or someone else in your life, be kind when you ask. Although many witches understand that without the darkness there can be no light, in my experience "The Nature of a Witch" after all, begins and ends with kindness.
