A Heartfelt Goodbye & Thank You for 14 Amazing Years!

Dear Beauty,

It’s with a mix of gratitude and bittersweet emotion that we write to share some personal news—after 14 wonderful years, we are closing the doors to Fruits to the Roots. This decision has been one of the hardest we’ve ever made, and as we reflect on everything we’ve shared together, our hearts are full.

Creating products that so many of you loved and trusted has been a true honor, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to serve you. You’ve made our small dream into something we could never have imagined on our own, and for that, we will always be thankful. Every bottle of skincare, every thoughtful email, every smile at the farmers market booth for years, the pop up events, and soundbath offerings—each moment has been deeply cherished.

These last few years have been challenging on a personal level, and while those struggles led us to make this difficult decision, they also reminded us of how powerful community and passion can be. We’ve poured our hearts into this business, and while it’s time to move forward, we will always carry the lessons, connections, and joy this journey has brought into our lives.

As a final thank you, we’d love to offer you one last opportunity to shop your favorite products before we close for good. Your continued support means the world to us, and this last chance to serve you is one we treasure. We’ve also put together a small collage of photos, so you can take a look back at some of the beautiful memories we’ve shared over the years.

It’s difficult to say goodbye, but it’s made a little easier knowing that what we built together will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you for your unwavering trust, your kindness, and your belief in us and our vision. We will forever be grateful.

Wishing you all the very best in your journey ahead.

With deep gratitude,
Lauren & Brian

Founders of Fruits to the Roots

P.S. We will continue to work with our direct community via soundbath offerings.
We will reach out soon with further information.

We started making products and selling in 2011. What began with mostly friends and family evolved fairly quickly into something quite magical. Brian was here with me through this entire journey. Likely if you are not seeing him in the picture, he likely took the photo :)

Favorite photo of Brian & I making soap!
We found throughout the years that making soap was really something we loved to do together. It brought us closer and put all the more love into what we could share with you! (2024)
First 'Official' Selling Event in Los Angeles, CA - (2012)

I was beyond nervous. Soaps, Salves, Bath Salts and Teas.

Mar Vista Farmer's Market Throwbacks: 2014-2017

Day one selling Custom Teas (2014) - "Come get your custom blended teas!"
Brian created all our incredible renditions of the traveling apothecary.
Year Two: In addition to custom blending teas, we began offering some original go-to tea blends, soaps, salves and serums at markets, as well as iced/hot teas (2015)

My favorite photo from this time-frame. (Below) My birthday at Mar Vista Farmer's Market. Reflects how much joy I always had for our customers. You can also see the updated setup. Of course each year, becoming all the more elaborate! LOL Brian really out-did himself on the apothecary design update you will see below.

This is the year we began also offering all of our skincare, in addition to herbal sodas - like our OG priobiotic/prebiotic 'Root Beer', 'Purple Daze' a hoppy relaxing beer alternative and more (2016)
Our little shop at San Pedro's "CRAFTED LA". We were so proud of that little shop. (2014-2015)
The Fairy Forest photo shoot campaign! Brian shot every photo for this magical campaign of artists. We hiked nearly 50+ pounds of goodies into Topanga Canyon to get a few magical tea party shots (2017)

Once we moved to the East Coast, we began offering workshops, classes, and experiences to the community.  Featuring Soap Making, Tea Blending and Tea Ceremony, Soundbath and Oracular experiences. (2017-2025) See Brian's breathing pacer in the upper right corner.

Best partner ever. Magic at every turn with you. Let's make another turn in the road and see what is in store next. BTW - stay subscribed to our newsletter to be sure to keep up with our next sound bath offering. We may be saying farewell to FTTR, but we intend to stay connected through sound with our community! Cheers all. Hope to see you there.

We have always loved this quote, but now as we journey into the unknown, it feels more reflective than ever.

“It was wise enough to know itself, and brave enough to be itself, and wild enough to change itself while somehow staying altogether true.”
